Pierre Louis is a retired United States Marine Corps Officer and a Gentleman. He was born in the Palmetto Park Housing Development and raised in the greater Daytona Beach area. As a child, Mr. Louis was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Police Explorer for the Daytona Beach Police Department. He left Daytona Beach at the age of 17 to join the United States Marine Corps. Over his 21 year-career Pierre has been certified as a Total Quality Leadership Instructor and has received 21 various Letters and Citations for Leadership. He is a decorated veteran with three Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medals and two Navy Commendation Medals for Leadership. He has served in many key positions and levels of leadership as a Data Systems Analyst and Aviation Maintenance Engineer Officer. A few of his key assignments have included duties in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, San Diego, California, and Andrew Air Force Base. Pierre has traveled to 17 countries and feels the United States of America the best place to live out your dreams.
After honorably serving the country, Pierre returned to Daytona Beach and became the Youth Director for the Boys and Girls Clubs for over 200 at-risk youth. He later became the Director of Marketing and Resource Development, where he planned special events, authored grants and was a Program Director and Facilitator for Passport to Manhood rites of passage program. In 2001, Pierre was awarded a grant to create the program "The Youth Gentlemen's Club". The premise was to teach leadership and the character development of being a gentleman in today's society. It was adapted from the program authored, by Pierre, entitled, "How to be a Gentleman When the Rest of the World is wearing Baggy Pants".
In 2004, Pierre served as the Treasurer for Men Against Destruction, Defending Against Drugs and MADDADS Sankofa Program. Pierre is the past president of Daytona Beach Toastmasters, Stakeholder in the Daytona Beach Visioning Committee, a past member of the Daytona Beach Police Department's Weed and Seed Committee and past president of the Midtown Redevelopment Board. In 2007, Pierre was a candidate for the Zone 6 City Commissioner race and has been featured in the News-Journal for his street mentoring of at-risk youth. Presently, Pierre Louis' is a board member of the Citizen's Police Review Board for the City Of Dayton Beach, the owner of Pierre Louis Speaks, Neighborhood Networks, and Neighborhood Networks Centers, which is a non profit that specializes in bridging the digital divide for underserved communities.. He has been a past president of the Halifax Area Chapter of the Halifax Military Officers Association and a recipient of many Toastmasters International Speaking awards on Leadership, Community Service, Empowering Community Development.
